Terms of Service

Last updated: 15 September 2026

1. Introduction

These terms govern your use of services provided by DriftConsult (&#34we", "us", &#34our"), including van hire, removals, man and van, same-day delivery, airport transport, furniture collection, automotive and equipment sourcing, and construction project management.

By booking a service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

2. Bookings and Quotes

  • All quotes are based on the information you provide at the time of booking.
  • If the actual load, distance, or access conditions differ materially from what was described, we reserve the right to adjust the price before starting work.
  • A booking is confirmed once we have acknowledged it and, where required, received a deposit.

3. Self-Drive Van Hire

  • You must hold a valid driving licence for the vehicle category and be at least 21 years old (or as otherwise stated).
  • You are responsible for fuel, any congestion or toll charges, and any fines incurred during your hire period.
  • The vehicle must be returned in the condition it was collected, with the agreed fuel level.
  • You are liable for any damage, loss, or theft during your hire period, subject to our insurance terms.

4. Removals, Delivery & Transport

  • You must declare all items being moved, particularly fragile, high-value, or hazardous goods.
  • We are not liable for items packed by you that are inadequately protected.
  • We will use reasonable care in loading, transport, and unloading, but we are not liable for minor cosmetic marks that fall within normal handling wear.
  • Delivery times are estimates unless expressly agreed as guaranteed. We are not liable for delays caused by traffic, weather, or events outside our control.
  • If you are not present at the agreed delivery time, we may charge for a wasted trip or arrange re-delivery at additional cost.

5. Automotive & Equipment Sourcing

  • Sourcing is subject to availability and supplier confirmation. A quote is not a guarantee of supply until confirmed in writing.
  • Specifications are passed to suppliers in good faith. We are not liable for differences arising from manufacturer changes or misinterpretation of specifications by third parties.
  • Export documentation and customs handling are arranged on your behalf. You are responsible for any import duties, taxes, or clearance fees at the destination.

6. Payment

  • Payment terms are set out in your booking confirmation or invoice.
  • Late payments may attract interest and may result in future bookings being declined.
  • We accept payment by bank transfer and other methods as stated at the time of booking.

7. Cancellations and Changes

  • Cancellations made with reasonable notice will not be charged.
  • Short-notice cancellations, or cancellations after a crew has been dispatched, may be charged in full or in part.
  • Changes to booking details may affect pricing and availability.

8. Liability

Our liability for loss or damage to your goods is limited to the amount stated in your booking confirmation, unless a higher value is declared and agreed in advance. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including lost profit or business interruption.

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death, personal injury, or fraud caused by our negligence.

9. Insurance

Goods in transit are insured in accordance with the cover stated in your booking. If you require higher cover, you must declare the value of your goods in advance so we can arrange it.

10. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales (for UK services).
